Description

The Inca Trail is the preferred route for adventurers who want to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Andes, passing through different ecosystems, appreciating the diversity of flora and fauna up to Machu Picchu

The 4-day Inca Trail is the most authentic way to reach Machu Picchu. More than just a hike, it is a journey through the living history of the Andes. Starting at kilometer 82, the trail follows the original paths of the Incas, crossing mountains, valleys, and cloud forests that change with every step.
Along the way, hikers visit ancient archaeological sites such as Llactapata, Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, and Wiñay Wayna, showcasing the perfect integration of Inca architecture with the natural environment. Each site has its own purpose and historical significance within the trail.
On the final day, hikers reach the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where Machu Picchu is seen for the first time. It is a challenging but rewarding experience, combining adventure, culture, and nature in a single route to one of the world’s most impressive wonders.

Altitude Considerations

The Andes can affect anyone. To minimize discomfort:
-Arrive in Cusco 2–3 days prior to acclimate.
-Stay hydrated, eat light meals, and drink coca tea.
-Rest before the trek and pace yourself during hikes.

Preventing Altitude Sickness

-Drink plenty of water and coca tea daily.
-Eat light, balanced meals.
