More than just a hike, this journey is a connection with the living spirit of the Andes. Along the way, herds of alpacas, traditional villages, and snow-capped peaks accompany your path, revealing the authentic soul of Andean life. At the summit, the horizon opens into a spectacle of color and silence — a moment to pause, breathe, and feel the pure energy of this magical place. CUSCO – RAINBOW MOUNTAINS PALCOYO – CHECACUPE – CUSCO

The day begins around 4:30 a.m. with pickup from your hotel in Cusco, just as the city still sleeps and the first rays of sunlight start to paint the Andes in gold. The journey heads south through the Sacred Valley, passing by traditional villages and highland landscapes that reveal the daily life of Andean communities.
In the charming village of Cusipata, we’ll stop to enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast, made with fresh local ingredients to give you the energy needed for the hike. After breakfast, we continue to Phulawasipata, the starting point of our trek to the majestic Rainbow Mountain.
The trail unfolds between open valleys and rolling hills guarded by snow-capped peaks. Along the way, it’s common to see llamas and alpacas grazing freely while local villagers greet us with warm smiles and a glimpse into their ancestral way of life. Although the altitude adds a touch of challenge, the breathtaking scenery inspires every step.
As we approach the summit, the colors begin to appear like a natural painting — shades of red, yellow, green, and violet blending with the deep blue sky. At the top, we’ll have time to rest, take photos, and absorb the unique energy of this sacred mountain revered by local communities.
After this unforgettable moment, we begin a gentle descent back to the starting point, where our transport will take us to Cusipata. There, a buffet lunch with local dishes will be waiting — a well-deserved reward after the hike.
Finally, we return to Cusco, enjoying the spectacular Andean landscapes illuminated by the afternoon light. Arrival is expected around 5:00 p.m., with drop-off near the Plaza de Armas, marking the end of a day filled with adventure, culture, and the vivid magic of the Andean highlands.
