Description

The Sacred Valley of the Incas was one of the most important regions of the Inca Empire, valued for its fertile lands, strategic location, and cultural richness.

The Sacred Valley VIP Tour offers a complete experience, visiting the main archaeological sites and traditional towns in a single full-day itinerary designed for travelers who want to understand the history, daily life, and enduring traditions of this remarkable region. Throughout the day, you’ll explore how the Incas mastered their environment — from the agricultural terraces of Moray, where they experimented with microclimates, to the Maras Salt Mines, which still operate today using ancient techniques.
You’ll also visit Ollantaytambo and Pisac, two of the most impressive Inca sites, both examples of advanced engineering and planning adapted perfectly to the mountain landscape. Beyond archaeology, this tour highlights the living culture of the Andes. In Chinchero, local families demonstrate traditional textile techniques that have been preserved for centuries. In Urubamba, you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch featuring local products that represent the valley’s agricultural diversity.
More than just sightseeing, the Sacred Valley VIP Tour provides a deeper understanding of how Inca heritage remains alive in the people, the land, and the traditions of Cusco’s highlands.

Departure from Cusco – 6:45 a.m.
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and we’ll begin the journey through the Sacred Valley, visiting its main archaeological and cultural sites.
Chinchero
Our first stop is Chinchero, a traditional Andean town known for its weaving art and mountain views.
We’ll visit a textile center, where local families demonstrate the process of spinning, dyeing, and weaving alpaca wool using natural ingredients.
You’ll also explore the archaeological site and the colonial church, built on ancient Inca foundations.
Moray
We continue to Moray, a fascinating system of circular terraces believed to have been used as an Inca agricultural laboratory.
Here you’ll learn how the Incas experimented with altitude and temperature to adapt different crops to the Andean environment.
It’s a distinctive archaeological site and one of the most interesting locations for photography.
Maras Salt Mines
A short drive takes us to the Maras Salt Mines, where over 3,000 salt ponds are still in use, producing the famous Andean pink salt.
The site offers impressive views and the chance to purchase natural salt directly from the producers.
Buffet Lunch in Urubamba
We continue to Urubamba, where you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch with a variety of Andean and Peruvian dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients.
Vegetarian options are available. After lunch, you’ll have a short rest before continuing.
Ollantaytambo
Our next visit is Ollantaytambo, one of the most remarkable Inca sites, known for its well-preserved architecture and history as a strategic fortress.
You’ll explore its terraces, temples, and ceremonial areas, and walk through the town’s narrow streets, which still maintain the original Inca layout.
Pisac
To finish the day, we’ll visit Pisac, famous for its extensive terraces and stunning valley views.
After exploring the archaeological complex, we’ll descend to the Pisac artisan market, where you can browse handmade crafts and textiles produced by local artisans.
Return to Cusco – Between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m.
We return to Cusco at sunset, with a final view of the Sacred Valley’s landscapes before arriving at your hotel.
